After attending Layton School of Art in Milwaukee, I spent ten years as a freelance illustrator, illustrating for national magazines and companies. I have also written and illustrated five children’s books.
I served as head of the ilustration department at Milwaukee Institute of Design (MIAD). Later I was partner, creative director and chief storyteller at two Milwaukee creative agencies.
I live, write and illustrate in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Meet Ollie O’Malley, an eleven year old girl who lives in a small fishing village in Mexico. She’s just your typical spunky, independent, adventure-loving youngster—until one evening while walking on the beach she meets a boy who’s about to change her life.
The Kid opens up a whole new world to Ollie where a shape-shifter can change shape and turn into a bird, a dog or any kind of critter and animals can talk to each other. This will come in handy when sinister characters come to town. Then it’s up to Ollie and the Kid to save the day!
